Release Adjuster

Invented by: Frank Pearson

INSTRUCTIONS:

Place mouse pointer over picture for quick instructions.

This tool can be used to make fine adjustments to hinge/half moon type releases. (Stanislawski Products for example.)

Loosen the two screws in the holding bar until your release will slide beneath the bar with the hinge portion facing the adjusting screw and tighten.

To speed up the release:

If you have the adjusting screw pointing towards you the index finger hole should be to the right. (Opposite for left handed shooters) Then tighten the screws until the release is held tightly and the outside edge of the half moon is tight against the adjusting screw. The adjusting screw should be set as close to the outer edge of the flat area of the half moon as possible and the lock nut tightened. Once this is done, use an allen wrench to loosen the set screw in the back of the release that will allow the half moon to move. Then loosen the lock nut on the adjusting screw and this will allow you to push the half-moon a very small amount by turning the adjusting screw clockwise. Tighten the adjusting screw lock nut and while holding the half moon in place re-tighten the set screw. Your release will now shoot a bit faster.

To slow down the release:

When you need to slow down the release you simply insert the release under the holding bar with the index finger hole to the left and use the same process.
Using this push concept will give you the best control when making fine adjustments of release speed.

Good shooting!
