Tek-Tech 4th Axis

I have been an archery dealer for 25 years here in New Zealand. Our field courses are mostly situated on land no one wants, hence we have steep ups and downs. Over the years I have purchased all the tools to get our 2nd and 3rd degrees inline I have vertical lines hanging, bench site levelers, 2 shooting machines, peep to nock levels and so on. All have worked but never 100%. The best I get is (on up hill shots) is a group at 9 o’clock (when I shoot them good) right on the edge of the spot, and 3 o’clock for my downhill. My solution was to give the bow a little bubble, but in the back of my mind it was a problem. I thought I was stuck with this forever. I purchased a 4th degree leveling device (4th Axis), thinking here we go again. I followed the instructions to the letter for installation and set up. Then after re-doing my sight marks, I headed down to the steepest IFFA course in town. At the end of the round, the results were staggering, my shots were all in line with center, no more groups left or right on the up hill or down hill shots, unless I shot them there. I am still pinching myself. I was told by some prominent archers that it would never work. I know they had never tried the unit but I can now tell them "Don’t nock it until you try it". There will be a lot of humble pie eaten over this. This invention (or discovery) for me is one of the best for archers for many years. In just a few days I have orders for 7 units.

"I have one of Gene's 4th axis.   I call it a "Path Tracker" in that it works off the "path" of the arrow and not as an arrow sets on the rest.  I had to mess with it before I understood it but it works and I'm keep'in it.
Please don't ask me to explain except that I can tell you an arrow setting on a rest at centershot and an arrows path are not the same thing.
The purpose of this post is to let all know that I'm using it and although you can get there other ways, this is much more convenient. "----Dean Pridgen  04/22/05

"Thanks for such a great product.  From reading all the different posts on AT, I know that some archers don't understand the concept.  When you put it into effect though, the accuracy really shines.  Knowing that your sight is right on is a great confidence builder because your riser and sight are square no matter what position you are in even if you were shooting upside down.  No more excuses.  Now all missed shots are your own doing."

"Shot a 3D last weekend with your new device on my Hogg-It sight.  Made a world of difference on all shots, up down and level."----Ken Vella  04/25/05

"Gene, just wanted to drop you a line and let you know that I got my bow back yesterday and thru my scope back on and shot a few arrows just to see if its close Anyway we had a Hilly 3-D today and my marks were off a little, but I couldn't believe how much the level showed the angle on side hill shots. Some times I felt like I was really canting the bow severely, but the level never lied to me. I think your 4th Axis Gizzy is the Cats Bag. My left and rights were great......but the Nut behind the bow was off on yardage estimation
Anyway I really think you have a winner with the 4th Axis.
